Take time to mail notes and letters to encourage your volunteer leaders. Emails and phone calls are great but there is still something cool about getting mail that's not a bill. Don't forget birthdays!
I always enjoy reading your blog Todd. I'm not usually a big fan of reinventing the wheel as long as it is still spinning on its axle, so I find your insight and experience very helpful as I enter into the student ministry. God bless you, your family, and your ministry!
Great tip - loved getting this kind of acknowledgement and feeling like the few hours a week I was able to volunteer were appreciated and helpful to the ministry.
